Whereas the Department of Motor Vehicles controls what we are charged for all motor vehicle tags, and they are extremely high especially compared to our neighboring states.
Whereas the Department of Motor Vehicles controls all motor vehicles, including automobiles, trucks, recreational vehicles, and all off road vehicles, that require registration and renewals yearly, and
Whereas these are examples of the amounts charged for the renewals: 2017 F-250 Super Duty in Idaho is $45, in Montana $87 + 3% Admin Fee, Utah $80, in Wyoming it is $318.69, and
Whereas a 2022 Nissan Frontier in Idaho $69, in Montana $217 + 3% Admin Fee, in Utah $159, in Wyoming $566.90, and
Whereas a 2021 Class C 2021 Gulf Stream E-450 Ford in Idaho $37.25, in Montana $690, in Wyoming $1407.60, and
Whereas a 2014 Polaris Ranger UTV in Idaho $12+$1 for Parks & Rec, in Utah $14, in Arizona $35 onetime fee, in Wyoming $97, and
Whereas the differences in these fees are abysmal, therefore.
Now, Therefore, Be it Resolved that the Wyoming Republican Party supports the lowering of our state fees for all motor vehicles, be it for everyday vehicles, commercial vehicles and recreational vehicles.
Be it Further Resolved that the Wyoming Republican Party supports the lowering of our county fees for all motor vehicles, be it for everyday vehicles, commercial vehicles and recreational vehicles.
