Whereas, for an organization to be non-partisan, the parties must agree that it is not partisan; and
Whereas, half of the candidates running for state legislative offices in 2024 declined to participate in forums held by the League of Women Voters; and
Whereas, the League of Women Voters has stated support for partisan legislation such as the Affordable Care Act; and
Whereas, the League of Women Voters supports abortion, contrary to the first plank of the Wyoming Republican Party Platform; and
Whereas, the League of Women Voters has stated that they oppose the D regulation done by the EPA during the Trump administration, which was a key block of the Trump Campaign; and
Whereas, the League of Women Voters has stated they oppose HB0156 (and the SAVE ACT) which requires document proof of US citizenship to register to vote for an election in Wyoming; and
Whereas, the League of Women Voters supports the Democratic idea that we live in a democracy as evidenced by their support of and the free hand out of the book “Democracy Under Construction;” and
Whereas, the League of Women Voters has shown support for the American Library Association system and their providing of sexually explicit and obscene material to minors; and
Whereas the League of Women Voters has openly supported restriction of our 2nd amendment rights which violates a plank of the Republican Party Platform,
Now therefore, be it resolved, the Wyoming Republican Party declares that they do not accept the League of Women Voters as a non-partisan organization.
Fremont County requested that the National Delegation carry this Resolution to the RNC.
