WHEREAS, Wyoming has an abundance of economical and low sulfur coal reserves; and
WHEREAS, coal-fired plants are an economical and efficient method of power
production; and
WHEREAS, improved scrubber technology has immensely improved air quality of
emissions by coal powered plants; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Wyoming Republican Party admonishes our elected
officials to discourage the decommissioning or repurposing of coal-fired power
plants.
