Action Alert - 5 Bills Needing Your Attention

The Wyoming Legislative Session continues full-steam ahead and today is officially the last day for bills to be reported out of committee. If there has been no action in a committee by the end of the day the bill is dead.

Some of the bills we are watching include:

Action Alert! HB 230

This morning HB230 was assigned to the Revenue Committee. HB 230 would impose SOGI legislation on employers in Wyoming, elevating the LGBTQ community to a special class.

THANK YOU FOR PASSING HB 106 & SF 160

Earlier this week the House Agriculture Committee passed HB106 and the Senate Agriculture Committee passed HB160 both working to #EndCrossOverVoting and #FlipTheSwitch. We thank the legislators on those committees for helping to secure election integrity in Wyoming!

THANK YOU FOR PASSING HB 140

HB 140 passed the House today!!!

This bill requires a 48 hr waiting period to pass between the time a pregnant mother learns of her embryo’s viability and the point at which she can get an abortion.

We are sending our legislators a huge applause for standing for LIFE!!! Thank you!

This bill would eliminate the Budget Reserve Account (BRA) for purposes of receiving and appropriating funds. The bill would also require a reserve amount of 5 percent to be maintained in the General Fund.

Action Alert!! HB106 and SF160

ACTION ALERT:

HB0106 - Party affiliation changes
HB 106 to stop cross-over voting passed the Agriculture Committee this morning however, it will only require that citizens be registered within two weeks prior to the primary. This almost completely nullifies all of the work that we have done to stop cross-over voting.

We Need Your Help!

We need a big turn out tomorrow for these 3 major bills. Please join us for the Agriculture Committee meeting in Jonah Room L54 upon adjournment. We will see you there!

HB 106 Support

Fellow Republicans,

On Thursday the legislature voted down SF 32 which would have ended cross-over voting. It was first stopped in committee, then brought back for consideration after educated Wyomingites like you contacted your Senators emphasizing the importance of this bill. Unfortunately, the same five Senators who voted to defeat the bill the first time up again voted to stop the bill from going to the floor for consideration by all members of the Senate.
