With 19 days of the 2019 Legislative Session behind us, it is encouraging to look back and appreciate the positive work that has been done thus far. We are so thankful to be able to report the demise of a few threatening bills.
Below are three bills to which the Wyoming Republican Party is paying close attention. We ask you to take action on each of them in order to ensure Republican values continue to thrive in our state.
Today the Senate Committee of the Whole (COW) voted to pass SF0160 after its first reading. This bill will #EndCrossoverVoting and #FlipTheSwitch if made law. The bill will be read two more times by the Senate COW and, if passed, be sent to the House.
Please join us in THANKING our Senators for listening to Wyomingites and working to ensure election integrity!
The Wyoming Legislative Session continues full-steam ahead and today is officially the last day for bills to be reported out of committee. If there has been no action in a committee by the end of the day the bill is dead.
Some of the bills we are watching include:
This morning HB230 was assigned to the Revenue Committee. HB 230 would impose SOGI legislation on employers in Wyoming, elevating the LGBTQ community to a special class.
Earlier this week the House Agriculture Committee passed HB106 and the Senate Agriculture Committee passed HB160 both working to #EndCrossOverVoting and #FlipTheSwitch. We thank the legislators on those committees for helping to secure election integrity in Wyoming!
The Wyoming Legislature's website has provided a "Summary of Bills" that are currently before committees. In order to help you to remain informed we will be publishing a list of those summaries for one committee each day.
HB 140 passed the House today!!!
This bill requires a 48 hr waiting period to pass between the time a pregnant mother learns of her embryo’s viability and the point at which she can get an abortion.
We are sending our legislators a huge applause for standing for LIFE!!! Thank you!
