WYOMING GOP ON 'PARTY JUMPING'

AUGUST 13, 2018

In recognizing a growing problem regarding voter registration deadlines and party affiliation, also known as “party jumping”, the Wyoming Republican Party passed the following Resolution at Convention 2018:

BE IT RESOLVED that the Wyoming Republican Party seeks a change in voter registration procedures whereby voters will not be allowed to change their party affiliation between the time periods starting with the opening of filing for a county, state, or federal offices, until the close of voting on the day of the General Election.  Unregistered voters may register during this time period for any political party of their choice.” Furthermore, the Wyoming Republican Party supports elected representatives who have demonstrated support of the party’s Platform.

From the Wyoming GOP Party’s Bylaws:  Article I, 3 Role

The role of the Wyoming Republican Party is ... to achieve the election of Republican candidates who substantially uphold the platform.
