iverton-- (June 2, 2026) — The Wyoming Republican Party today announced that a second gubernatorial debate between the Republican candidates for Governor will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at the Headwaters Center in Dubois, Wyoming.
The response to our first Wyoming Republican Party Gubernatorial Debate was fantastic. Two candidates, Brent Bien and Megan Degenfelder showed up, ready to get down to business and let our Wyoming voters know who they are, what they stand for and how they intend to govern.
Question after question was asked of each candidate in a round robin debate format that allowed each candidate to answer both from their personal point of view as well as respond to the other's initial answer. It wasn't your typical forum panel, it was an interactive, knowledge-based competition and show of a candidate's ability to think on their feet event.
Debates and other public events, hosted by our Wyoming Republican State and County Parties, are where those who will become our Republican Party Standard Bearers are first identified by voters and who will ultimately win races in the Primary and General Elections.
Asked his thoughts on the debate, Chairman Bryan Miller responded, “Keep in mind that candidates who show up at GOP Party events are not afraid of being asked the hard questions that often come from Grassroots voters like you and your neighbors. In fact, these firsthand impressions by the candidates themselves often result in garnering support as they build winning teams from those who see and hear the candidates in person.
That's because how a candidate answers questions and how they respond to their opponent's answers demonstrates conviction, courage, and capabilities that are left unanswered by mailers, social media, and 30 second TV and radio ads.
Attend, watch or listen in to every Wyoming Republican Party debate, forum, or meet and greet to get to know your candidates. Find out who your conservative Republican candidates are and take each of these opportunities to learn more about the candidates from the candidates themselves.
In doing so we can all find the candidates that best represent our Wyoming Republican Party Platform and values who will deliver victory at the August 18th Primary and November 3rd General Elections. Be a part of the process that will lead to better schools, smaller government, greater freedom, and prosperity across Wyoming and America.”
The first Wyoming Republican Party debate was hosted by the Campbell County Republican Party and can be viewed here: https://youtube.com/live/nvCkmI9Rrok?feature=share. We extend our gratitude to the Campbell County Republican Women for their efforts on this debate.
The debate will be broadcast live across the state on County10.com. Rebroadcasts will be shared by the Wyoming Republican Party.
