Quote from Bryan Miller, WYGOP Chair "This is a very big win for the WYGOP as, once again, just like in Sheridan County, a judge upheld the State Statute that says, "The Commissioners shall choose one of the three names submitted by the County Party..." when the County Commissioners flagrantly violated the Statute for political reasons.

The courts have now upheld the Statue twice in the past two years which means our efforts to force our elected to follow the law, even if it's by legal action, appears to be working.  It is unfortunate that we must continuously take it to court. This is an expensive process for both the party and the taxpayer.”"

It is with great pleasure that I let you all know that the Judge has selected Michael Tooman as the new Interim Weston County Clerk!  

Mike Tooman was your Weston County Republican Party's top choice for Clerk and we are excited to see that the Judge came to the same conclusion as all of you!

Please join me in THANKING the eminently qualified candidates that the Weston County Republican Party put forward to fill the vacancy.  All 3 candidates showed the Court - and all of Weston County - that their dedication and commitment to Weston County as well as their lists of qualifications was exemplary.

Today was a big win for election integrity and transparency in Weston County.  We are excited to be a part of returning trust to Weston County!  Clerk Tooman has promised to open office processes to public scrutiny wherever possible, run a fair election where all votes are counted, and serve the public with the respect they deserve.

The Weston County Republican Party knows that free and fair elections require transparency, adherence to the rule of law, and respect for verified outcomes. Good Patriots like all of you understand that election officials, political leaders, candidates, and citizens alike share a responsibility to uphold these principles.  

The Weston County Republican Party also understands that democracy cannot thrive without trust in the electoral process, and that trust must be earned through honesty, accountability, and an unwavering commitment to the integrity of every election.  I am so proud of our Weston County Republican Party for running a GREAT candidate selection process and so glad to be able to celebrate today's win with all of you!
