HILLARY CLINTON PROMISES TO DESTROY THE JOBS OF WYOMING COAL MINERS

March 22, 2016

State GOP Chairman Matt Micheli is calling on Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to apologize and retract her comments of last week when she stated, “we’re gonna put a lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business.”

Chairman Micheli responded,

It is hard to put into words what a callous, uncaring and cravenly political statement like this means for the future of Wyoming families, our schools, and our state. Whatever stereotype Hillary Clinton has of coal miners and coal companies, we know the truth. These are our jobs, our families and our friends. The disastrous policies of the Obama and Clinton administration, this new and darker direction they have taken the country, has truly hurt Wyoming more than any other state in the country. With Bill Clinton coming to Wyoming to campaign for his wife, we demand that he look Wyoming families in the eye and explain to them why these hard working Americans are not suitable for a Clinton administration. We must also hold Wyoming Democrats accountable for these policies. Are Wyoming Democrats willing to tell the Clintons that this nation needs more, not less, affordable energy to power our economy, or will they side with Obama and Clinton and try to destroy one of the biggest industries in Wyoming? The hardworking families of the Cowboy State will be watching. Running for office by promising you’re going to destroy jobs, create unemployment and put one of the most vital industries in the country out of business is as radical as it gets. I urge everyone to support Wyoming families, Wyoming jobs, Wyoming industries and reject the dangerous policies being put forth by Hillary Clinton.
