Wyoming Republican Party Chairman Matt Micheli released the following statement today in celebration of America’s Independence:
On this day two-hundred and thirty-nine years ago, our nation declared its independence, bravely asserting that our unalienable rights to ‘life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,’ were ‘endowed to us by our Creator.' Today we express our gratitude for these God-given freedoms. As we join our friends and families for parades, fireworks and barbeques, we celebrate what makes America great: a love of freedom, a belief in opportunity for all, and an optimism for the future. Let us also commit to doubling our efforts to support and uphold those ideals. We also honor the sacrifice of the men and women in our armed forces and remember the patriots who gave the ultimate sacrifice to the cause of liberty. Our military men and women overseas are in our thoughts and prayers. May God protect them and may He continue to bless the state of Wyoming and our great nation.
