Create your first Voter Group

Navigate to Voter Groups:

  • From your Vottiv Home Page, locate the left-hand menu.

  • Select Voter Groups.

Create a New Group:

  • Click on Create Group.

Add a Primary Voter Filter:

  • Click on Add Filter.

  • Scroll down to find Voting History in the list of filters and click it.

  • When prompted, click Add Filter to confirm.

Set Voting Requirements:

  • In the filter options, select the 2022, 2020, and 2018 Primary Elections.

  • Ensure the selected count is 3.

  • Choose the criteria "At least 'x' of the last election".

  • Use the +/- buttons to set the number of elections to 2.

Create and Name Your Group:

  • Click Create Group.

  • Optionally, update the group name and then click Done.

View Your New Group:

  • You should now see your group on the next page.

  • Click on it to explore what you can do with it.

Create your first canvass

Navigate to Canvassing:

  • From your Home Page, locate the left-hand menu.

  • Select Voter Groups.

  • Locate the voter group you just created and click on it.

  • Click on the 'Canvassing' box.

Create a new canvass:

  • Click Create Canvass.

Name and Purpose of Your Canvass:

  • Enter a name for your canvass.

  • Select Distribute Information as the purpose.

  • Click Next.

Skip Canvas Triggers:

  • Click Skip Canvas Triggers.

Enter Instructions:

  • On the instructions page, provide any necessary instructions for your canvassers.

  • Click Create Canvass.

Invite Canvassers:

  • On the canvassing page, click Invite.

  • Click the copy button to copy the invite link to the clipboard.

  • Open your email, paste the copied link, and send it to your volunteers, instructing them to open it on their phone in an area with internet service.
