Urgent Response to HR1

CHEYENNE - The Wyoming Republican Party adamantly opposes the recent passage of legislation in the U.S. House known as HR 1. The bill passed in the U.S. House on Thursday and now moves on to the U.S. Senate. This bill is a federal invasion into an area that has largely been left to the States in deference to the wishes of our Founding Fathers, which is enshrined in the U.S. Constitution, Article 1, Section 4, and states: “The Times, Places, and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; . . . “ HR1 must be stopped.

The Democratic bill sponsors would like the public to believe it would “...expand voting rights, change campaign finance laws to reduce the influence of money in politics, limit partisan gerrymandering, and create new ethics rules for federal officeholders.” This is rubbish. Instead, HR1 is a transparent attempt by the extreme socialists in control of the Democrat Party to ensure the Democrat Party stays in power, and that the checks and balances created by America’s 2-party system are forever removed. The goal of HR1 is to legitimize and federalize everything that went wrong in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin, and other battleground States. These States’ terrible election practices -- including poorly controlled mail-in balloting, relaxed voter registration requirements, no voter ID, reduced signature matching requirements, and other practices that make election fraud more likely -- were used in the battleground States to manufacture a Biden victory. If HR1 passes, the American people will never see another fair election again, ensuring that our children raise our grandchildren under a socialist or communist regime.

The dire consequences of HR1 passing cannot be overstated. The Wyoming Republican Party urges Wyoming voters to stand up and be heard immediately. There are no do-overs on this issue. If we lose the battle over HR1, we lose our country. If you have hesitated in the past to engage in the political process, now is the time to start -- before it’s too late. Stay posted for ways you can engage and help win this battle.
