Republicans believe in fiscal responsibility. Medicaid expansion is neither fiscally responsible nor a viable solution for the State of Wyoming and its citizens.
Medicaid Expansion would likely increase costs of private health insurance, as providers are forced to discount services to Medicaid patients and make up the difference elsewhere. This increases the costs for individuals and business owners, and is unfair.
Medicaid expansion isn’t a solution; it is an economic quagmire that empowers the federal government at the expense of our State budget.
