On January 13, 1984, President Ronald Reagan issued a proclamation designating January 22nd as the first National Sanctity of Human Life Day, noting it was the 11th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion in all 50 states.
Encourage those elected officials who claim to be pro-life to practice what they preach and support the Born Alive bill. Wyoming is overwhelmingly pro-life, yet in last year’s legislative session - although passed by both the House and Senate - the Born Alive Bill was VETOED by Governor Gordon. The Born Alive Bill will be run again in 2021. We must stand for life, holding our elected officials accountable for protecting the most vulnerable among us. We also encourage you to get involved in Wyoming Right to Life and support your local pregnancy resource center.
