Budget Crisis and The Rainy Day Fund

The Legislative Stabilization Reserve Account (LSRA), aka the state’s “rainy day” fund or the State’s savings account, which basically provides overdraft protection or stabilized cash flow, has been used to backfill shortfalls of income, but it is expected to hit a minimum balance of approximately $543 million dollars by 2025-26. The Legislature must work to rein in spending to place our government on a more sustainable financial footing.

Contact your legislator and tell them to stop the egregious spending! Find their contact information here: http://redistricting.state.wy.us/planviewer/.
