Wyoming Republican Party Chairman W. Frank Eathorne has called a meeting of the Wyoming Republican Party State Central Committee to consider applications to fill the vacancy in the office of Secretary of State resulting from the resignation of Secretary of State Ed Murray on February 9, 2018. 

GOP Central Committee Comes To Thermopolis

The Wyoming Republican Party’s State Central Committee will meet this Friday and Saturday, November 17th and 18th, at the Days Inn in Thermopolis. The business session will be Saturday, starting at 8:00, in the Days Inn’s meeting rooms. The Central Committee will discuss plans for the 2018 campaign season. Meetings are open to the public.

Wyoming GOP on Tax Increases, Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity

At the recent Central Committee meeting in Gillette, the Wyoming Republican Party took a stand on two issues in Wyoming: two resolutions opposing tax increases,  and one on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) legislation.

Two resolutions spoke to Wyoming's budget problems. One expressed blanket opposition to recent proposals in the Interim Revenue Committee to raise taxes and fees on Wyomingites. The other made clear opposition to a proposal to a Gross Receipts tax (basically an income tax with no deductions).

The third spoke to Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) legislation, including municipal and county ordinances.
